A little bit about me

Hi there!

My name is Chantal Tello and I’m an artist from Spain.  I graduated from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain, with a Fine Arts degree.

Even though I was born and raised in Spain, I received my elementary, primary and secondary education in the Lycée Français de Valence which, along with the fact I speak French at home, has made me completely bilingual. Moreover, since I’ve always been interested in languages, I speak fluent English (C2 diploma) and intermediate Korean too (TOPIK II Level 3 diploma – B1 equivalent).
Between January and December 2021 I participated in an exchange student program at the Sungkyunkwan University, Seoul, South Korea where I had the opportunity to learn traditional oriental painting techniques as well as training in various fields of graphic and typographic design, window displays for luxury stores, and conceptual art.
I was sure I wanted to go into the visual arts field since a very young age, but that didn’t discourage me from taking interest in a variety of other things, from philosophy to literature to greek mythology to fashion… And I believe the knowledge I acquired thanks to my curiosity has in some way affected and enriched my work.

I am currently focussing my efforts on entering the professional market, looking for opportunities both as a salary and freelance worker in various fields, but especially as an Illustrator or Designer.
